Root canal treatment is required when the infection is present at root areas of the tooth. The inflammation might be a result of the decay, abscess or cracked tooth. The treatment is performed by drilling into the tooth through to the root and removing any infected pulp that exists The cavity is then filled and sealed with the dental material. In some cases the dentist initially performs the treatment called ‘pulpectomy’, where the infected pulp is removed and the temporary dressing and filling is applied. After the root canal treatment has been completed, the crowns are usually used to protect the tooth, although in some cases fillings are used. Root canal treatments with Dentists in Poland are performed using local anesthesia, which makes the experience pain-free.
Fillings are used for teeth that have been exposed to the decay or an infection. Before a filling is applied, the tooth is prepared with the use of a dental drill to make necessary space to accommodate the filling material. In some cases a temporary filling is used before the permanent restoration is carried out. There are wide range of materials that are used for fillings, including amalgam, precious metals such us gold or base metallic alloys. Dentists in Poland use amalgam composite fillings. These composites fillings are made of white colour which matches the natural colour of the tooth. Local anesthesia is applied for nervous patients.
All sorts of extractions are done in our clinics by experienced staff. General dentists perform simple extraction, while more complicated treatments such us wisdom tooth extraction are performed by dentist surgeons. Prices start from £50 although wisdom tooth extractions cost more.
